JHABU CONSTRUCTION founder and owner “Harwinsa Togatorop” is a Batak entrepreneur who was born in Sibolga – North Sumatera and raised in Pematang Siantar & Medan – North Sumatera in a warm & very discipline family. He was a very smart boy who shown his brightness in studies and also his talent in business since he was in university and has tried many kinds of businesses. He never gave up even some of businesses he tried were fell down, he always stand and climbed up back with  other way, a typical of Batak man.

In 1990 he started his journey and moved to Malang – East Java to work in a wooden craft factory and continue his study in the University where completed his engineering degrees in Architect & Mechanical on 1994. Before completed the studies, he already worked in factory and few Hotels as an engineer and then after he got his degrees, he then joined one of the largest property developer/owner in Indonesia that time and started his career in construction and engineering operation of a hotel in the same time. He was the youngest engineering manager in that group until he left and joined another big and famous hotel & property developers in Indonesia.

On 1996 he opened an engineering consultant in Malang named Citra Inti and started his professional services while still working with another famous hotel group. On the end of 1999 Harwinsa moved to Bali after seeing a very good career and business prospect in Bali and joined one of world largest hotel operator/developer who also operated in Bali. He spent 8 years with this group in constructing some of their famous hotels and resorts in Bali and overseas as Project Manager & Architect. In the same time he still can split his time to also run his own consultant & trade company. He never stops learned on different things related with construction works. After his last overseas assignment he then moved back to Bali to finish 2 (two) big resorts development in Bali which were successful and he resigned after that to concentrate with his own company in 2006. After fully handling his own company, he then started another small contractor company named Parama Artha to complete his dream which is a “One Stop Shopping” company in construction field. After two years he then thinking to make it run more efficient and solid then decided to merge them to be one. On 6 February 2007 Citra Inti & Parama Artha officially merged with commercial name of CIPA ENGINEERING.

On 2011 Harwinsa got married with a Javanese lady (Wulan) who becomes his main supporter in his move. Since 2006 he also started to explore the using of recycled wooden houses that were not taken care well in some villages in Java and Sumatera and then started to reused, modified then rebuild them in Indonesia and overseas (mostly in Bali) and many peoples interested with the ideas and it becomes the main scope of the company since 2011 till now which is to reuse recycled wood in building villas and small hotels. Inspired by that, Harwinsa then change again the company name to JHABU (means HOME/HOUSE) which becomes the formal business name of the company till now.

With his 20 over years of experiences in property construction, consultancy and management, he run the new JHABU group flag with his wife Wulan in patience, passion and professionalism which leads to the growing of the customer and project numbers they done and still doing till now. His experiences and practices in some big property/hotel groups such as Dharmala Land, Melia Hotels, Tugu Hotels & Resorts, Gudang Garam Group, Four Seasons Resorts, COMO Hotels & Resorts, travelled around the world and his work together with world class consultant, designer, engineer, professionals and clients have made him become a very efficient, high standard and professional person who always looking for a best result. Best quality, time management, cost effective & honestly are the main things he always teach to all of his staff. JHABU has now grown in scale and numbers. 12 young experienced and professional peoples are working together in building the company reputation.

Harwinsa journey is continuing by developing his business to other fields. As part of his love to his beautiful homeland Batak and also his wife culture and tradition of Java, who also known as two very rich races in terms of beauties, culture and also has unique architectural products. He and Wulan developed their first traditional restaurant and rest area in Batu, East Java to open a window to the world to know Batak & Java cultures more and attract foreigners to go and enjoy the beauty of them. He presented some Batak & Java traditional architectures, cuisines, music and crafts and keep promoting with passion.
